Tinnitus

Tinnitus (from the Latin tinnire = ringing) refers to noises in the ears that occur permanently or temporarily, in one or both ears and are only perceived by the person affected. Noises are perceived to which no external sound sources can be attributed, hence the term "phantom noise"
Symptoms and complaints of tinnitus
  • It buzzes, beeps, hisses, whistles or rattles in the ear and in the head.
  • Some tinnitus sufferers tend to adopt poor postures or excessively tense the shoulder, forehead and jaw muscles in stressful situations.

The non-stop noises make people irritable, depressed and, over time, anxious and exasperated.
